BRONX, NY (May 5, 2012) - 2008 U.S. Olympian Demetrius "Boo Boo" Andrade continued his march towards a world title shot, knocking out Rudy Cisneros at the end of the first round in tonight's "ESPN Boxing: FNF Special Edition," presented by Corona Extra, at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Andrade (17-0, 11 KOs), a fast-rising junior middleweight from Providence, is rated No. 6 in the World Boxing Organization ("WBO") and No. 7 in the International Boxing Federation ("IBF"). The gifted, young southpaw established his lightning-quick jab early, followed with some solid body punching, and closed the show with a perfect right, left combination that dropped Cisneros (12-4, 11 KOs) with three seconds left in the opening round. Chisneros, a Contender, Season Two participant, was taken out of the ring on a stretcher because he was dizzy. He reportedly was healthy in the locker room and taken to Backus Hospital for precautionary reasons only.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. Chad Dawson has his belt back - and gave the ageless Bernard Hopkins a major decision to make about his fighting future.

Dawson defeated Hopkins by a 12-round majority decision Saturday night and won the WBC light heavyweight title, taking the rematch at Boardwalk Hall without the controversy and ugliness of their first bout six months ago.

The 29-year-old Dawson (31-1, 17 KOs) never let a deep cut near his left eye affect his methodical approach at taking out Hopkins.

At 47, Hopkins (52-6-2) may have fought his last fight, though it seems impossible to count him out for one more bout as he pushes 50.

Dawson, though, may have shut the faucet on Hopkins' Fountain of Youth.

LOS ANGELES, April 29 - "The Magic Man" is back on top.  Using pinpoint accurate punches and a punishing attack from start to finish, Brooklyn's Paulie Malignaggi stopped previously unbeaten Vyacheslav Senchenko in the ninth round on Sunday to win the WBA world welterweight championship.

Fighting at the Donbass Arena in Senchenko's hometown of Donetsk, Ukraine, Malignaggi took away the home crowd advantage almost immediately, dominating the bout until referee Steve Smoger deemed Senchenko unable to continue due to a grotesquely swollen left eye.

NEW YORK (March 17, 2012) - Before a house filled with Irishmen celebrating St. Patrick's Day, World Middleweight Champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez scored a dramatic come-from-behind knockout of a game Matthew "Mack the Knife" Macklin Saturday night in the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

"THE REAL Middleweight Championship - Get Your Irish Up," presented by DiBella Entertainment, provided fireworks on HBO and a strong Fight of the Year candidate in the main event. The 37-year-old Martinez (49-2-2, 28 KOs) got off the canvas, albeit a controversial knockdown, in the seventh and then dropped Macklin twice at the end of the 11th round. Referee Eddie Cotton halted the action on the advice of Macklin's corner.
